Terms and Conditions / Participation Conditions

Each participant agrees that, if the organizer (Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Club e.V.) makes all bookings or enters into all contracts necessary for the event (such as accommodation, meals, programs, or other package services) in the participant’s name and on a binding basis, any cancellation costs shall be borne by the participant in accordance with German law, or, in the case of trips abroad, in accordance with the applicable foreign law. It is acknowledged that the organizer acts solely as an intermediary. The organizer is entitled to make payments in connection with the registration directly to the contractual partners or to forward advance payments if this is necessary. Changes to the travel itinerary, and if applicable even the cancellation of the event, remain at the discretion of the organizer. Claims for damages arising from such reasons are excluded.

For events and tours for which a route proposal has been prepared, no guarantee is given that the proposed route can be driven as suggested in accordance with the provisions of the German Road Traffic Regulations (StVO) or, abroad, in accordance with the respective applicable traffic regulations. Each participant is personally responsible for complying with the regulations and must deviate from the route proposal at their own discretion if traffic regulations require this. Each participant waives any claims for compensation against any other participant for damages suffered by a participant as a result of errors, ambiguous wording, or other deficiencies in the route proposal. The participants agree that the drivers of vehicles traveling ahead do not have any leading or guiding function for the vehicles following them. Each driver is solely responsible for the selection of the route they drive and for compliance with traffic regulations domestically and abroad, and in the event of any damage, may not derive any claims from the fact that the damage was caused or contributed to by following the route selection of preceding or following drivers or by their other conduct.

The conduct of a tour must not impede the use of the road by others, neither due to the number of participants nor due to their behavior or driving style. Participants may not drive in a closed formation, but only individually or in small groups. All participants undertake to adapt their driving behavior to these regulations.

Drivers and passengers participate in club events at their own risk. They bear sole civil and criminal liability for all damage caused by them or by the vehicle they use. Furthermore, by registering, they declare a waiver of any claims for damages of any kind arising in connection with the events. This exclusion of liability becomes effective vis-à-vis all parties involved upon submission of the registration.

By participating in an event, the participant grants permission for the publication of images taken in connection with the event and showing the participant or their vehicle on the SLS Club website or in SLS Club publications, social media, and the club calendar. Regardless of the permission granted, after an image has been published on the SLS Club website or on social media, the participant may at any time request the deletion of any image in which they or their vehicle are depicted from the website.

Registration becomes binding only upon receipt of the participation fee. Taking out travel cancellation insurance is strongly recommended.

In the event of cancellation by the SLS Club, the participation fee will be refunded.
In the event of cancellation by the participant, the following cancellation terms apply:
Cancellation up to 2 months prior to the event: 100% refund
Cancellation up to 2 weeks prior to the event: 50% refund
No refund in the case of short-notice cancellation or no-show

The limitation of liability offered by each participant to the other participants is hereby accepted. At the same time, the participants waive receipt of the declaration of acceptance by the other participants.
