Baroque City of Fulda and the Rhön
September 10–13, 2026
Our annual meeting will take place in 2026 in the heart of Germany. The historic State Garden Show city of Fulda will serve as the starting point. We will explore the picturesque landscape of the Rhön, a German low mountain range that has been designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

Thursday, September 10. Arrival at Hotel Esperanto in Fulda. 7:00 p.m. “Come Together” dinner at Restaurant Torro Negro.
Friday, September 11. After a relaxed breakfast, the tour starts at 10:00 a.m. (traditional roadbook) through the beautiful Rhön region. Lunch at the restaurant Gasthof “Rother Kuppe” (selection by pre-order).
In the afternoon, the highlight of the tour: Visit to the Erlebnisbergwerk Merkers (Merkers Adventure Mine), 800 meters underground. A sensory spectacle. Duration approx. 2.5 hours.
Afterwards, the tour continues to dinner at the Gasthof Rhönblick (buffet).
After parking our vehicles on the exclusively reserved, security-monitored (not covered) parking deck, we can round off the evening at the excellent hotel bar.
Saturday, September 12. After breakfast, at 9:30 a.m. a winding scenic drive with a photo stop and a visit to a classic car manufactory, including a light lunch.
Dinner at the restaurant Goldener Karpfen (set menu).
Sunday, September 13. After breakfast, members’ meeting at 10:00 a.m.
11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. city tour.
After receipt of the participation fee, you will receive a confirmation of participation by email.
NEW! Overnight accommodation including breakfast is included in the participation fee. The rooms will be reserved by the SLS Club in your name.
The participation fee of
€890 for single drivers and €1,290 for couples
includes the following services:
- 3 nights in a 4-star superior hotel in a comfort room, including breakfast
- 3 days of monitored parking deck
- Thursday: “Come Together” dinner at the grill restaurant, excluding drinks
- Friday: Lunch including non-alcoholic beverages
- Friday: Admission to the Merkers Adventure Mine, guided tour / transporter tour, refreshments
- Friday: Dinner at Gasthaus Rhönblick, excluding drinks
- Saturday: Light lunch including drinks
- Saturday: Dinner at Goldener Karpfen, excluding drinks
- Sunday: City tour
Optionally, you may also take part in a Sunday afternoon drive to the Vogelsberg volcanic mountain range, followed by a closing dinner (self-paying).
We are aware that the distance and associated costs may pose a challenge for some members. With the much-appreciated support of our members, the annual meetings are organized and the locations carefully selected. Just as we strive to vary the locations of our meetings geographically, each event is also given an individual and personal character through the involvement of the respective members.We are looking forward to a wonderful weekend among friends.
